ALBERT HUNT

Al Hunt is the executive Washington editor of The Wall Street Journal. In 1988, he joined with Robert Novak, Pat Buchanan, and Mark Shields to form CNN's The Capital Gang. In June 1965, he started working as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal in New York. He was transferred to the Boston bureau in 1967 and to the Washington, D.C. bureau in 1969. From 1972 - 1983, he covered Congress and national politics. From October 1983 - 1993 he was Washington bureau chief.
