MARK SHIELDS

Mark Shields is a nationally known political columnist and commentator. He can be seen every Saturday night as the moderator of The Capital Gang which airs from 7 - 7:30 p.m. (ET).As a syndicated columnist, his knowledge and analytical abilities have been retained by three different television networks for coverage of national elections and conventions. In 1987, the political analysis team of Shields and David Gergen became a regular feature of The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour. He has managed political campaigns from the courthouse to the White House, in some 38 states.
