JAMES WARREN
James C. Warren has been bureau chief/associate managing editor of
the Chicago Tribune's Washington bureau since December 1993.
Warren joined the Tribune in 1984 as a reporter specializing in labor
and legal affairs. Prior to his current position as bureau chief, he was
the newspaper's "Tempo" section editor and served as a national
media reporter, covering all aspects of local and national media.
Before coming to the Tribune, he had been a labor and legal affairs
specialist for the Chicago Sun-Times since June 1977. Warren's
newspaper career began in 1974 as a reporter for the Newark (New
Jersey) Star-Ledger.
