JOHN F. DICKERSONCorrespondent John Dickerson covers economics and politics in TIME Magazine's Washington Bureau. As a correspondent in TIME's New York Bureau from March 1993 through January 1995, Dickerson covered business, politics and technology. During that assignment he reported five cover stories: Video Games, The 1994 Baseball strike, Are Men That Awful, Sex in America and Hyperdemocracy. Specific stories that he authored include a February 1994 piece on a stolen election in the Pennsylvania state senate; A February 1994 exclusive on John Sculley's departure from Spectrum Technologies; A March 1994 world trade center verdict story and in May 1994 a look at the new governing style of big city mayors. Before joining TIME, Dickerson covered public affairs and the BCCI banking scandal as an Associate Producer for Time Inc. Television. A native Virginian, in 1991 Dickerson graduated with Distinction from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in English and American Studies. He is single and lives in Washington, D.C. |
