    Buchanan courts Montana by sympathizing with their recent bad press and stressing national sovereignty and states' rights.

    The Republican National Committee slams Clinton for trying to use the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act of 1940 to defer Paula Jones' sexual harassment lawsuit.

  • Clinton: "Empty" (1.2M QuickTime movie)
    The Clinton/Gore campaign delivers another attack on Dole for leaving the Senate while "the real work goes on ... by a leader whose actions speak louder than words."

  • RNC: "Who" (1.2M QuickTime movie)
    This ad compares Clinton's rhetoric to Clinton's record and accuses him of inconsistencies on the welfare issue.

  • Clinton: "Same" (1.3M QuickTime movie)
    "Politics must wait," declares this DNC ad, which chides Dole for leaving the Senate and "the gridlock he and Gingrich created."

  • Clinton: "Support" (1.6M QuickTime movie)
    This ad, paid for by the DNC, answers the "Clinton Vetoed That" ad, explaining that Clinton supports tax credits for families with children, but Dole's and Gingrich's cuts in education, environment and education forced him to exercise his veto.

  • Clinton: "The President's Plan" (2M QuickTime movie)
    "The Republicans will do anything, anything, to stop President Clinton's plan," declares this DNC ad, saying that the president has pushed through family medical leave, help to small schools and immunization for children despite opposition from the GOP.

  • Clinton: "Tough on Crime" (1.9M QuickTime movie)
    The resistance of Dole and Gingrich didn't stop Clinton from delivering the Brady Bill, stronger anti-drug programs and 100,000 new policemen, claims this DNC ad.

  • RNC: "Double Talk" (1.7M QuickTime movie)
    This RNC ad charges Clinton with a lot of talk but little action on balancing the budget, and calls on him to support the balanced budget amendment.

  • RNC: "Clinton's Tax Increase" (1.6M QuickTime movie)
    The RNC accuses Clinton of supporting the "largest tax increase in history" and goes on to say that "actions speak louder than words."

  • RNC: "Clinton Vetoed That" (1.3M QuickTime movie)
    This Republican National Committee ad for Dick Chrysler targets Clinton's tax policy. It features an American couple lamenting the $1,000 in child tax credits they would have received under the Republican budget.

  • Clinton: "Stop" (1.8M QuickTime movie)
    "Republicans will stop at nothing to stop President Clinton" claims this ad, which includes the call to action: "stand firm, chlidren are counting on you."

  • Clinton: "Dole Votes No" (1.5M QuickTime movie)
    This Democratic National Committee ad portrays Dole as the man blocking the Clinton agenda. It accuses Dole of stopping legislation to balance the budget, cut taxes, and ban assault weapons.

  • Dole: "Values" (1.5M QuickTime movie)
    "Tested in war, proven in peace" touts this ad, a positive vehicle that promotes Dole's values and character.

  • Dole: "Liberal or Conservative" (1.5M QuickTime movie)
    Dole slams candidate Lamar Alexander for being too liberal then promotes himself as a "proven conservative leader."

  • Clinton: "Victims" (1.5M QuickTime movie)
    This ad, paid for by the Democratic National Committee, shows examples of domestic abuse and explains the Clinton remedies for the problem.

  • Clinton: "Cherish" (1.5M QuickTime movie)
    "Our first challenge is to cherish our children and to strengthen America's families," says Clinton, and he proposes tax deductions, the preservation of Medicare and Medicaid and changes in health insurance to accomplish the goal.

  • Clinton: "Protects Public Programs" (1.5M QuickTime movie)
    Clinton blames drastic Republican budget cuts for substandard health care and problems with education and the environment. Clinton vows to protect Medicare and Medicaid while balancing the budget.

    This ad accuses the Gingrich-Dole budget plan of harming education, health care and the environment. "They must agree to balance the budget without hurting America's families," the ad concludes.

    The candidate cites his record in Tennessee, proposes to eliminate the capital gains tax, and create a "Niagara Falls" of new jobs.

    Alexander takes timeout from the mudslinging to propose new republican leadership and share his ideas for a greater America.

    Hilarious sendup of Presidents Clinton's possible reactions to Dole, Gramm, and, Forbes nominations in Iowa.

  • Buchanan: "Never Afraid to Lead" (1.5M QuickTime movie)
    Citing his work with Reagan and Nixon, as well as strong personal convictions, Buchanan paints himself as a fearless leader.

    "The future of America belongs to our children," says Buchanan, and he envisions the culture and policies that define his view of a strong America.

    Early campaign ad insists the president is tough on crime. To prove it: he banned assault weapons, wants more cops on the beat, expanded death penalty.

  • Dole: "Clinton Agenda" (1.1M QuickTime movie)
    Portrays Dole as a hero (capital 'C' for conservative on his chest) who saved the day from the liberal Clinton agenda.

  • Forbes: "Gramm" (1.2M QuickTime movie)
    New Hampshire ad claims Gramm is just as big a tax-raiser as Dole, and disloyal, too. Makes "Washington politician" sound like a dirty word.

  • Gramm: "Forbes" (1.1M QuickTime movie)
    Wait just a minute, Forbes. You've got it all wrong, wrong, wrong. And what's with the early negative campaigning?

  • Alexander: "Merry Christmas" (1.1M QuickTime movie)
    While the other guys bicker, Alexander offers yuletide greetings and claims to be above the fray, and outside the beltway.

    Laugh-out-loud caricatures of Dole, Clinton, & Perot in 1998 -- after "Taylor has been the best president" the U.S. has ever had.
