Two retirees, Jamie Quillen (R) and Harold Ford (D) will probably not affect the balance this year. But Democrats are hoping tradition will reassert itself--especially in the Vice President's state--and allow them to take the state of the Grand Ole Opry away from the Grand Old Party.
