A brand-new site from progressive Democrats who believe in the Web and think their party "can be a useful vehicle for genuine, long-term political reform." A nifty spinning slot machine displays Bob Dole's cabinet possibilities.

CITY

Chicago '96
Test your knowledge of presidential trivia or take a virtual tour of Chicago on this site, sponsored by the nonpartisan host committee for the Democratic National Convention.

The Chicago Tribune
Chicago Sun-Times Online
One great town, two fine newspapers. We're hard-pressed to pick between the two, so we figured we'd wimp out and let you make that choice. One thing is for sure: they've got tons of great convention coverage.

Chicago Mosaic
Find out where to go, what to do and how to get there on the Windy City's official site.

Chicago City-Life
This polished site brings together all the links to the best restaurants, galleries, theaters and everything else there is to do in Chicago.

DEMOCRATS

Clinton-Gore '96
Check out the official campaign site of the Democratic nominees -- the president's record (with some air-brushing) is online, along with personal bios, downloadable campaign memorabilia and volunteer information.

Democratic National Convention Official Party Site
The delegates will be plugged into this official convention site for information on their host city and schedules for the convention. Print out your own souvenir credentials or play Clinton-Dole tic-tac-toe.

The Democratic Party Online
Toeing the party line, this site has all the pro-Clinton/Gore hype and convention updates from the Democratic perspective. Republicans get trounced in The Donkey Stomp, and James Carville's Top Ten gushes with reasons why civic activism is important.

Project Vote Smart -- Clinton Biography
Basic biography and issues information on President Bill Clinton, along with the text of his 1995 speech, "What I'm For and What I'm Against." Information compiled by the Project Vote Smart, one of the best of the nonpartisans.

Clinton Interactive The interactive library about President Bill Clinton has an extended biography, the latest polling information and links to related sites. A good first stop for information on the president.

PROTEST

Democratic National Convention
Demonstration Information and Scheduling
All the information you need to stage your own protest -- demonstration times, application information, lottery procedures, application confirmation -- all from the City of Chicago.

Demonstrator's Site
Anyone who's got a problem with anything is probably protesting about it -- here's where to find them. Contains reports from demonstrators worldwide on rallies and notices of upcoming demonstrations. The Chicago docket is filling up.

POT LUCK

The Anti-Clinton Page
Dodging the draft, Whitewater, Travelgate -- scandal by scandal, it's all here. Brought to you by the people who think Clinton's next term should be in prison.

Dole-Kemp '96 On-line Campaign
If you didn't get enough of the Republican convention and you want to check out Clinton's competition, here's the place to go. Look up Dole's position on the issues, read the latest information on his campaign, or download wallpaper for your desktop of Dole's dog Leader.

Republicans for Bill Clinton
Really, it's more like one guy who's registered Republican and Democratic (he's got pictures of himself with Hillary Clinton and Bob Dole to prove it), but who doesn't like Republicans.

Democratic Party One Minute Speech Maker
The mad-libs of Democratic speechwriting, intended for House debate but can be used in a pinch at the convention.
