Hillary Admits Mistakes, Says Chelsea Comes First

[Hillary Clinton]

WASHINGTON (CNN, Feb. 19) -- Another politically correct remake of Hillary Clinton appears to be underway. In a just-released New Yorker article, she admits mistakes early in her husband's presidency, but says much of the criticism leveled against her has been politically motivated. The First Lady also said her duties as a mother come first.

In the article, Clinton describes her life as First Lady and how she supposedly has been slandered. She admits that a decision by her health care task force to keep reporters in the dark about details of the group's work was a mistake. The First Lady attributes her early mistakes to her unfamiliarity with Washington politics.

Clinton also says parenting keeps her from getting out frequently. But when Chelsea goes off to college, the First Lady will have time to attend dinner parties "from now to kingdom come."
