LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Little Feat has been together for 30 years, and now they're gaining a new generation of fans with the release of a new album called "Under the Radar."
Little Feat member Bill Payne, appearing on Showbiz Today to promote the album Monday evening, called the band's relationship with its fans "a real family affair."
"My son is 16," Payne said. "I'll listen to his music, he listens to ours, and
it's that kind of thing. It's 16 through, what, 60, 70 years old is the oldest fan we have."
Paul Barrere credits Little Feat's long run with its eclectic style of music.
"We have an extremely wide range of tastes," Barrere said. "And I think it's evidenced in all the records that we've made, because you can't really classify Little Feat's music as being rock or jazz or Cajun or blues. I mean, we play it all."
